mia.7zip – CAN I LICK IT (2025)

«can i lick it» started of as a video installation as a part of the fine arts exhibition «24 1/2» at the beautiful Atelier Augarten in Vienna curated by renowned artist and professor at the University of Applied Arts Gabriele Rothemann. By loving demand by visitors and other artists «can i lick it» has now morphed from a fine art piece into a silly little online video, accompanied by a digitally distributed single with an edit for DJs. The piece tears the phantasm of gender apart, with teeth, tongue and hardstyle kicks, and recreates it, referencing Daft Punk, Judith Butler and charli xcx, as something physical, graspable, lickable. Go touch some grass and lick a gender.
