not gonna kms / it’s pride month

Suicidality in trans people has become an epidemic, having reached more than four times the rate of cis people, even before the current backlash, a regression of rights in Europe and steadily rising physical and political attacks. Visiblity, once painted as the way to equality, thanks to a lack of protection, has become dangerous, has become a threat. Therefore: Pride month, June, is the time of the year, where trans people are most exposed to violent attacks and to self-harm as well.
So, here’s a little offer, to trans and queer people, to people having picked up a trauma-related disorder, to people who have developed chronic or acute suicidality: I know I can’t do shit to prevent anyone from killing themselves and this is not what this is about. This is me offering you a silly little patch, as an ironic add-on to your jacket, a signature piece for your bag, a cute little trinket for your collection at home. All I’m asking for is that you’re not gonna kill yourself during pride month, nothing more, I’m not asking about August or even a fucking year, I’m just asking about Pride Month. So, please take a patch and for fucks sake: Do not to kill yourself during pride month. Love u.
